Gas Stoves
an Overview
-
Gas stoves today are more efficient and less expensive.
-
The fire in many gas stoves is indistinguishable from a wood burning fire
(for example; Ember-Fyre Burner Technology).
-
Most units operate during power outages.
-
Gas technology offers a degree of convenience that is unmatched by
any other fuels, Push Button Convenience.
-
Gas Stoves can be installed easily in almost any room including
bedrooms and bathrooms.
-
Direct Vent installations eliminate the need for elaborate and
costly chimney systems or chase tops.
-
Direct Vent gas stoves are ideal for lower levels and condominiums.
-
Direct Vent gas stoves are perfect for anyone with respiratory
problems due to high quality indoor air.

The human race may have learned to harness fire for warmth and ambiance many thousands of years ago, but it has taken until now to make that task truly convenient.
Gas stoves come in all shapes and sizes. The smallest gas stove, which is 18,000 BTUs, heats up to 650 sq. ft. The larger gas stoves are 43,000 BTUs and heat over 2,000 square feet. All units can be made to burn either natural gas or liquid petroleum (LP or Propane).
Porcelain Enamel Colors
Gas stoves also come in many colors and varieties, some have legs and others have pedestals. You can choose from either a cast iron gas stove, which is often offered in porcelain enamel colors and can be dressed up by adding stone packages to the top and sides of the stove. Then, there are the steel bodied stoves which sometimes come in custom colors when factory painted.
Operates during Power Outages
The efficiency on a gas stove can range from 65-95%. Most units have a standing pilot, a very small flame that burns continuously and acts as the ignition source. These standing pilot units will light during power outages.

Direct Vent Technology
Most gas stoves we endorse are Direct Vent gas stoves. There is no expensive chimney to buy, as they are installed in similar fashion to your clothes dryer. A Direct Vent installation carries the flue gases tot he outside while bringing in fresh outside air for combustion. This makes for very good indoor air quality, even for those with respiratory disease.
Rigorous Safety Testing
All units undergo rigorous safety testing. This includes testing of the valves, burners and component parts, but also requires safe operation in the event of power outages, flue blockages and other scenarios.
Optional Remote Controls
Options available for gas stoves usually include a remote control with Push Button Convenience, some with a thermostat in the remote so you can automatically maintain the desired temperature you choose from the comfort of you favorite chair.
Ember-Fyre Technology
The flickering flames, glowing logs and embers combine to create the Most Realistic fire ever seen in a gas appliance. This award winning technology dispenses with the "gas tube technology" instead of a long metal tube with holes in it. The flames rise from dozens of burner ports drilled in a ceramic fiber base. As the base heats up, it turns a deep red to mimic glowing wood embers, additional combustion air delivered to the surface of the burner creates dancing yellow flames. The flames impinge on the hand-carved ceramic fiber logs, so the that logs glow red and orange too.
